Sosoraso’s Working Terms & Process
Every piece I create is hand-drawn, ornate, and full of care.
I pour hours of energy, devotion, and imagination into each illustration.
This guide is here to protect us both — and to protect the art.
Booking & Payments ☼
𓆸 Seasonal slots
✧ Winter season: January – April
✧ Summer season: May – August
✧ Autumn season: September – December
Each booking holds your reserved slot for up to 4 months.
If the project is delayed due to client pauses or late responses, a new booking fee may be required to continue.
𓆹 Booking fee
✧ €50 non-refundable fee secures your place in my calendar.
✧ This fee is deducted from your final project cost.
𓆸 Payment process
✧ A 50% deposit is required before I begin work.
✧ The remaining 50% is due before I deliver final, watermark-free files.
✧ For projects over €500, we can agree on 3–4 instalments in advance.
𓆹 Processing fees
✧ A 5% PayPal fee will be added to invoices.
✧ Bank transfer fees, if any, are the responsibility of the client.
Alternate Versions Must Be Pre-Booked
Requests such as:
• “Can I see two color palettes?”
• “Show me three background options so I can choose”
…must be agreed upon before the project begins. These are concept explorations, not revisions, and are priced as premium or bundle services.
Revisions adjust a chosen design. Alternate versions explore multiple designs.
Feedback: A Guide for Clear & Kind Collaboration
Here’s what helps:
• “Can we make her hand more open? I want her to feel vulnerable.”
• “Could we switch the border to something more botanical than geometric?”
• “His expression is too angry — can we soften it to weary, like someone who’s survived something?”
What doesn’t help:
• “Something feels off but I’m not sure what.”
• “It’s perfect but also can you change 5 things?”
• “Can I see 3 versions to decide?”
• Vague praise-sandwiching followed by long lists of changes.
𓆸 Clarity is Sacred
Each piece is built in high rendering and layered by hand. Because of this:
✧ Color & style requests must be made during the sketch phase.
✧ Full recolors after rendering may require a new slot or added fees.
✧ Vague feedback (“make it more vivid,” “like watercolor”) must be clarified with specific descriptions or references (e.g. “increase saturation on the cloak” or “match the red from [Character X]’s coat”).
Revision Terms
What counts as a revision?
• Changing pose, clothing, or facial expression
• Adding or removing elements (tattoos, props, objects)
• Adjusting colors, light source, or border motif
• Swapping details you previously approved
Please gather feedback for each stage into one clear message. Multiple separate emails or messages will still count as individual revisions.
Revision Limits (Standard Projects):
✧ Sketch Phase — up to 3 clear revisions (pose, layout, expression, border style)
✧ Line & Colour — up to 2 (color adjustments, small corrections)
✧ Final Polish — 1 (minor detail only, e.g. sparkle or trim)
𓆹 Important:
• Pose, body, or outfit changes cannot be made after the line art stage.
• Beyond included limits, extra revisions are billed at €30–100 depending on complexity.
Common Revision Fees
• Minor tweaks (color, glow, expression) within limits → Free
• Extra rounds beyond the limit → €30–50+
• Full recolor of character elements → €50–100
• Border or background changes → priced by complexity
• Drastic changes (pose, theme, redo) → not possible after linework stage; would require a new booking.
Example: Recoloring Clothing (1 character)
• Simple clothing → €40–50
• Ornate/detailed clothing → €60–80
• Full outfit + lighting rebalance → €85–100
Timeline Commitments
Average timelines
✧ Single Character — 4–6 weeks (up to 8 if complex)
✧ Character Set (4–6) — 8–12 weeks (up to 16 if lore-heavy)
✧ Book Cover — 6–10 weeks (up to 12–14 if ornate/complex)
✧ Full Interior Bundle — 6–9 weeks (up to 10–12 if deluxe)
☽ Rush orders → 50–100% fee depending on size and urgency
☽ Delays in client response may extend delivery timelines
Commercial Use & What You’re Buying
The base price includes a personal use license — you may share online for personal enjoyment, print for yourself, or keep as part of your archive.
Any use that promotes, advertises, or sells (book, product, or service) requires a commercial license, agreed upon before use.
𓆸 Indie authors and small creators: I keep my standard license accessible, and I’m happy to discuss your budget.
Things That Void the Collaboration
• Please don’t disappear for more than 14 days without notice
• Ask for free changes after approval
• Approve work and later change your mind
• Reject finished work based on something never requested
• Request endless “tiny fixes”
• Treat me like a machine, not a collaborator
If revisions become endless, deadlines are pushed unreasonably, or the collaboration becomes emotionally unsafe, I may pause or cancel the project. Deposits remain non-refundable, as they cover time and energy already devoted.
Rescheduling & Booking Policy
• You may reschedule your start date up to 2 times, with at least 20 days’ notice.
• After that, your reserved slot is considered exhausted.
• If you need to pause mid-project, please contact me — additional fees or a new booking may apply.
• All booking fees are non-refundable, as each slot is protected time reserved just for you.
A Final Note
This isn’t quick work. I draw because it is sacred to me. Please do NOT feed my work into any form of AI. AI is not used at any point of the process.
If you’ve found yourself here, it’s because something in your story deserves to be seen — made by hand, with care, for you.
